 Job Description:

This position involves working on the cane line, bottle line, and kegging. On canning days, the primary role for this position is operation of the pak-techer, stacking cases, building case trays, and assisting the Packaging Lead with setup and breakdown of the can line. After initial training has been completed, this position will be required to learn the operation side of the can line to provide coverage for the Packaging Lead when needed. For bottling, the Packaging Tech will rotate through all three positions - bottle line operation, building boxes, and labeling bottles. This position will also be responsible for the majority of kegwashing and filling kegs for all draught. In addition to hands on packaging, the Packaging Tech role will include assisting all setup and breakdown of packaging equipment as well as general cleanup within the cellar.

Part Time Position:

Hours will vary week to week depending on the production schedule. Hours available will range from 15 - 40 hours depending on the week.

Prerequisites Required:

• High School diploma including computer competency and effective written communication

• Clean and valid drivers license 

• Ability to work rotating shifts and adjust schedule to meet production demands

• Ability to work both independently and with a team

• Mechanical aptitude and creativity

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work experience in a cidery, winery, or brewery

• Previous work experience on can or bottle line

• Previous work experience in the trades - plumbing, electrical, construction, etc…

• Pallet Jack and Forklift Experience

Packaging Tech Responsibilities 

• Operation of Wild Goose can line (assisting Packaging Lead)

• Operation of Meheen bottler (assisting Packaging Lead)

• Washing Kegs and keg couplers as well as filling kegs

• Setup and Breakdown of Packaging Equipment

• General Cellar Cleanup
